Chelsea Chess Club

Dear Parents, Kids & All Our Chess Friends!

We are delighted to announce that the Chelsea Chess Club will be back for its 10^th term. Established in 2019, the club now welcomes over 30 weekly members.

Our junior chess club is staffed by 4 expert coaches. We ensure that children are grouped with those of a similar age and chess level. One group is exclusively for children who are new to chess and forms an ideal introduction to the game. For more experienced children, we offer support to those intending to compete in chess tournaments and team matches.

Each week we offer a mixture of chess lessons, friendly games and an internal tournament with plenty of prizes for the winners!

£30 per lesson when all 11 sessions are booked in advance
£35 per single lesson
Sibling discount available to those who attend the whole term

Trial Lessons
For younger children (5 y.o.) seeking to join the Chelsea Chess Club, we would advise to start with a trial lesson. Our experienced coaches will provide you with feedback regarding the suitability of the club and information about alternative chess courses, if required. Trial lessons are priced at the single lesson rate above.
Trial lessons for 5 y.o. are only available in the first 3 weeks of each term

      • Trophies, medals, toys and certificates will be awarded at the end of term.
      • The sessions will be taught by FIDE Instructors WFM Maria Manelidou and Chris Russell with guest appearances from other experienced members of the Chess Rising Stars coaching team.
