The 4th stage of the Meltwater Champions Chess Tour and the second Major, with 16 players and a $220,000 prize fund. A 3-day preliminary stage will cut the field in half, before the remaining 8 players battle it out in a knockout for the $60,000 top prize. There’s a space theme to the event, which partners with Breakthrough Initiatives and the Breakthrough Junior Challenge.
