Mumbai, the Financial capital will play host to the World Youth Chess Championship slated to be held for the first time in India. The World Chess Federation (FIDE) conducts 15 World-Level Tournaments in a year. It is a very prestigious achievement for the city. Around 700 young Chess masters from over a 100 Chess playing countries will be seen in action during the Youth Tournament to be held in three age categories in both the open and girls group.
The Tournament will be played in the U-14, U-16 and U-18 age groups for Boys & Girls and the Chess governing body will crown Six World Champions at this Tournament.
