Victor Vasiesiu


Victor is an active international tournament chess player with a peak FIDE rating of 2327 and ECF grade of 236. He has a very attacking and dynamic approach to chess.

As a young player, Victor lived the chess dream winning his National Junior Championship on multiple occasions and the European Youth Team Chess Championship in 2018.

Victor has taught students of all ages and makes his lessons both educational and fun. He currently studies Computer Science at Oxford University and is highly involved in the Oxford University Chess Club, being both Head of Teaching and captain of the Varsity Team. Oxford won the 2020 British Universities Chess Championship and the 139th Varsity Chess Match in 2021.
