EPSCA Tournament

The Young Knights of Newham took part in the English Primary Schools Chess Association (EPSCA) U9 zone on 14 March in Richmond. Considering their relative inexperience they performed well and enjoyed the day.

They were accompanied by Jerzy Dybowski and Maria Manelidou. CSC London Coordinator Dan Staples said “Well played to everyone – there are no easy games at this level. Stefania Iosub scored 3/3 which was very impressive. It was good experience for the team and I know they can learn from it and get better.

The U11 team play on 21 March and the U11 Girls on 18 April. We wish them well.
